Since the last post saying that we are home, we have had a lot of up and down weeks. Dad was recovering , then developed an infection from the surgery which required another hospital visit. He recovered, we went home, then we had to go back. Sigh- we were thinking we were going to need frequent stay visits like hotel points. BUT as of last week we are finally ready to post....
DAD IS BACK AT WORK!!
I know most to most of us that sounds like something that should not have excited exclamation points, but for us it is a HUGE step back towards normalcy and life. He is not allowed to lift anything heavier than 10 pounds so if you go to visit, do NOT ask him to restock anything. He is taking it easy but is so happy to be back at it. His workers surprised him on his day back with a mini celebration and cake.
We also got to spend Passover together and share it, for the first time, with FOUR generations. (to be honest-- Miles needs some help with the four questions- we will try again next year). We still have recovery but remember that it is a marathon not a sprint. Each day forward is a step in the right direction. Thank you for all your love and support as Dad begins this next step in his recovery transition. We love you all!
