Gary's Story

On November 14, 2023 we found that Gary has bladder cancer. It has been a shock to all of us and as a family we are adjusting to our new lives as we begin the fight. This website will be kept up to date (by me, Hannah) with blog postings and will be used as the best way to follow the fight and cheer on Gary.

Gary will begin Chemotherapy on November 30, 2023. He will receive treatment every other week for 12 weeks. After that time, he will take 3-4 weeks off to recover before we schedule surgery to remove the bladder and the prostate. 

​

The outpouring of support we have already received is extraordinary and we can't thank you all enough. While we know that people want to travel from across the country to come and visit and help, we ask you cheer on Gary virtually for the time being. Log-in and leave comments on the blog posts and he can see and get your messages as he fights.  Also, please share this website. Gary has a wide range of people who love and care about him and we want everyone to have access to this site.
